TCA Peel Trichloroacetic acid (TCA) treats the skin like the PCA Peel, but is used when a more aggressive treatment is needed to address the patient’s skin condition. In the RoxSpa, TCA peels are used for medium-depth chemical peeling beyond our PCA Peel. Because of the more aggressive concentration and potential for associated uncomfortable skin sensations, the TCA peel requires the patient to have either intravenous sedation or facial blocks.
While the TCA Peel might be needed to treat some patients, our experienced RoxSpa practitioners can let you know if this is an appropriate option for your skin. Newer treatments, such as Pixel Skin Resurfacing may produce similar results without the sedation requirement and more limited downtime.
